Introducing Assist

Every single sporting event has an audience that is split by thousands of micro fanbases.

How would a broadcaster or league serve all of these groups around the same core game? Today the attempt, for big events, is the alternate broadcast. The problem is that this does not go far enough. It stops at the ManningCast or the Nickelodeon cast …

The internet solution is the creator broadcast, made by everyday fans that can root for a specific team and talk about nuances of the game (stats, fantasy, humor, etc.).

The answer is Kai Cenat and Snoop Dogg, not Toy Story and SpongeBob.

Historically, this has been impossible because streaming and content creation were not as simple or pervasive as they are today.

We started Assist because we wanted to hear new voices cover the games we watch just as if they were sitting on the couch next to us.

We’re not sure what creators and content will emerge. But that’s precisely the point. Maybe it’s a father and son diehard duo, a statistician, a Spanish speaker or a hall of famer. On the internet, Darwin decides.

Perhaps it’s something even more remote: a fan barely talking about the game except for key plays and spending the rest of the game talking about fantasy sports or trivia.

What we know from two decades of internet activity, is that creativity and talent always rise to the top.

Give it a try and help us change the game!
